A LITTLE ABOUT ME
HI! I'M JESS.
I’m a Certified Nutrition Coach, Personal Trainer, and Health & Wellness Coach.
I’m an Army veteran, with a graduate degree in Health Promotion, and an undergraduate in Psychology. Two of my main hobbies are lifting and hiking. After powerlifting competitively for 4 years, I recently switched over to CrossFit to begin a new challenge.

After falling for a bunch of misinformation surrounding nutrition and exercise myself, I ended up experiencing disordered eating and unhealthy habits surrounding exercise during my teens & early 20's. From this, I’ve learned first-hand the significance of evidence-based practice. Through my own journey I've also realized that there's no one-size fits all solution to nutrition or health-related goals. We all have our own lifestyles, preferences, needs, etc., and our ‘ways forward’ should reflect those differences in order to create sustainable change.

After finding a balance with nutrition and health behaviors, I was able to begin actually reaching my goals, and enjoy everything that life has to offer – no off-limit foods, no more stressing about what to eat, and the best part…no guilt!

Through my own journey, I developed an interest in the science behind nutrition, partially because I was tired of falling for pseudoscience myself. From this, a desire grew to show others that the path to your ideal self doesn't have to (and shouldn't) be a miserable process.
We don't need to adopt extremes to see results, we don't need to completely avoid foods that we love, and we don't need to spend hours and hours in the gym each week to reach our goals. We just need the right skills and a realistic plan.
